Kebutuhan masyarakat akan tepung selama ini bergantung ke terigu impor. kini, dengan enzim dan alat mesin dari penyedia teknologi Bioindustri PT Cipta Visi Sinar Kencana (CVSK), telah dikonfigurasi paket alat mesin portabel yang dapat bekerja mengolah singkong atau ketela pohon menjadi tepung dengan sifat dan karakteristik terigu dengan kelebihan dan kekurangannya diantara keduanya.
Tepung modifikasi bahan singkong ( modified cassava flour) atau mocaf lebih baik dalam hal indeks glikemik (IG), kandungan glutten namun kurang bagus dalam penggunaan pangan tertentu. Dari berbagai uji resep masakan kulineri, tepung mocaf telah sangat enak dan baik pada pembuatan cookies, bolu ( dengan kukus) dan aneka panganan bala2 maupun pisang goreng dan bolen.
Harapan pada ketersediaan pangan dari produksi singkong, karena dibandingkan dengan sumber beras dan jagung masih tertinggi. Produksi singkong mencapai 195 kuintal/hektar sedangkan beras 49,44 kuintal/hektar dan jagung 44,52 kuintal/hektar (Ahmad Subagio)
Paket Alat Mesin dan Enzim Starter Mocaf
Alat mesin portabel tepung mocaf BM 2T berpenggerak mesin bahan bakar bensin atau solar ini dapat dimobilisasi ke kebun singkong yang umum ada terpencil (remote area), atau jalan masuk hanya kendaraan kecil. Dibanding dengan mesin fixed skala pabrik mocaf besar, Alat mesin portabel tepung mocaf BM 2T dengan konsep berpindah dari 1 kebun ke kebun lain ini memiliki keunggulan antara lain:
1. memotong biaya angkut singkong yang sangat nyata pada besaran biaya variabel dalam produksi mocaf. Dengan rendemen 25%, biaya angkut singkong ke pabrik, misal Rp 1.000/ kg, akan memotong harga mocaf Rp 4.000/ kg.
2. Konfigurasi alat memiliki fungsi ganda sekaligus mengolah limbah pertanian ketela pohon ( daun, batang muda, kulit singkong) menjadi kompos. Dengan masukan kompos, telah teruji kenaikan produksi singkong dapat mendekati potensi genetiknya 120 ton/ Ha yakni mencapai 100 ton/ Ha. Bandingkan dengan rata2 petani tanpa asupan kompos hanya 20-30 ton/ Ha.
Paket mesin dikonfigurasi bagi pembuatan mocaf ( modified Cassava Flour). Mocaf adalah salah satu produk hasil olahan singkong yang dapat menyubstitusi terigu, dengan karakteristik lembut, putih, tidak berbau singkong dan bahkan bebas gluten (glutten free). Dengan kapasitas 2 ton bahan baku per hari, mesin Portabel Tepung Mocaf BM 2T terdiri dari mesin pembersih singkong RKE 1 T, mesin pengupas dan pengiris ( peeller and slicer), 20 drum fermentor L 220, mesin peniris ( spinner) MPP 3000 L, dan mesin penepung ( disk mill)

Dengan mesin portabel masuk kebun, singkong tidak perlu berat dibawa keluar kebun. Efisiensi dari pengolahan di kebun akan menaikan pendapatan petani pekebun.
